Boys & Girls Club
Giving underprivileged kids a chance to succeed in life.
For more than 30 years, Gary Brown has been an active supporter and Life Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix. Gary was instrumental in helping to create one of their early donor programs. This helped to raise funds for the Club’s activities that promote academic success, good character, and a healthy lifestyle. He has been an active member of their Executive Council and Board of Directors as well as championing the Youth of the Year award.

Sun Devil Boosters For Athletes
Investing in student-athletes and helping the hometown college has been a priority for the Brown Group. Along with being involved in the athletic Boosters program, Gary Brown attends practices, encourages players and helps to bring new fans to the game. The Brown Group partnered with ASU on the SunDome Crossing development project. In addition, Gary and his team provided guidance, financial support, and coordination to assist ASU in turning the property into a vibrant shopping center. Gary is also the proud father of an ASU Honors College alumna graduating magna cum laude.
Scottsdale Charros
Helping to build our community by supporting youth sports and education.
The Charros were formed with the humble farmers and ranchers of early Scottsdale to share what they had with their neighbors including their time, talent, and resources. Scott Curtis has been an enthusiastic volunteer and has helped to foster ideas, activities, and programs that positively impact the community. Scott has served in numerous leadership positions with the Charros during his many years of service.
Goodwill
Helping people find meaningful employment.
Goodwill has a focus on helping to connect people to jobs in their local communities through training and support services. The Brown Group has been an active real-estate partner with Goodwill for three major development projects. They have been enthusiastic providers of financial support, expertise and expansion.
The Phoenix Open & U.S. Open at Pebble Beach
Golf can change millions of lives.
Gary Brown has been able to combine his love of golf with his passion for charitable efforts for both the Phoenix Open and U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. The Brown Group was an official Hospitality Corporate Sponsor for the 2019 tournament that coincided with the 100th Anniversary of Pebble Beach. His close ties to Phoenix golf and participation in the Phoenix Open Pro-Am spans more than 20 years. He has helped the organization raise more than $147 million for Arizona Charities. Along with playing in the Pro-Am each year, Gary and his team have won first place three times.
